I’m Colton Porter — a veteran and the founder of a Nebraska security and technology company. I built it the way I’d want our state run: answer the phone yourself, tell people the truth, keep your prices and your promises transparent, and never pass the buck when something goes wrong.
Nebraska has the only nonpartisan, one-house Legislature in the country — a system built to put people and ideas ahead of party games. I’m running to protect that: to show up in every town, listen more than I talk, and fight for the families, farmers, and small businesses who make District 30 work.

Legislative District 30 covers all of Gage County — including Beatrice, Wymore, and Adams — plus southeast Lancaster County, with Hickman, Panama, Roca, and part of Lincoln.

District 30 is an even-numbered district, so the seat is next on the ballot in 2030. Nebraska runs nonpartisan: every candidate competes together in the May primary, and the top two advance to the November general.
Filing Opens
Non-incumbents begin filing with the Secretary of State.
Filing Deadline
Last day for non-incumbents to file for the ballot.
Primary Election
Top two vote-getters advance — regardless of party.
General Election
Election Day — the vote that decides District 30.
Exact 2030 dates are set by the Nebraska Secretary of State closer to the election.
